My dad, sister and I recently threw a surprise party for my mom’s 80th birthday. Rich / DJ Mac was fabulous and made the night so memorable. My mom loves to dance so that was an important part of the festivities. Rich contacted me before to find out songs we wanted played, personal information about my mom and more. He wrote up scripts to kick off the night plus a few more times announced my parents for a first dance (his idea) and a Beach Boys song that he got on the dance floor and danced with mom. Everyone there was either dancing the night away or sitting at tables tapping along to the music. One of my favorite memories is when a song would start to play and you could hear a collective ‘ah’ from the crowd as they would recognize it. It was almost like they were transformed back to their Junior or senior prom. So many people told my sister, myself or parents how great the DJ was and what a fun night they had. Thank you Rich for everything - it was truly a night to remember !

DJ Mac performed at our Community Halloween Party, and the residents loved him! He was interactive with the music trivia, and danced with residents who didn't have a dance partner which I really appreciated. The set up that he had was very nice and the lights he had added that extra touch to the Halloween Party. Residents were already asking when he would be back for the next event! I recommend DJ Mac for any community level event you are planning. He gave us a very good deal and all the residents who came out enjoyed the event!

We celebrated two Birthdays and a 30yr Wedding Anniversary in our back yard patio and it was 104 degrees. We were in the shade but still very hot. All I can say is DJ Mac’s music was so good that people were actually dancing in the heat. DJ Mac also served as our master of ceremonies and everything went on without a hitch. DJ Mac is real entertainer not just a DJ. Many compliments from my guests; over 70 people. I would definitely hire DJ Mac again.

DJ Mac has performed at our resort numerous times. Our residents prefer him over any Bands that we have hired. He is not just a DJ. He puts on a show and keeps everyone involved throughout the evening. We have a Line Dancing club and he plays the good line dance records. He plays for over 3 hours and almost every person stays until the end. None of our other entertainment or shows has been able to do that. I think it must be his Rock and Roll music, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90's and only the top hits. We will continue to have DJ Mac two or three time a year as long as we can get him.

When DJ Mac’s Rock and Roll Dance Party plus Line Dancing plays at our resort we sell over 300 tickets. We love Line Dancing and our guest just loves the songs that he plays and they keep dancing right up until midnight. DJ Mac is also very generous with the split between him and the resort. We have him at least twice a year during the season. A great show and great music make a most entertaining evening. We love him.

Believe it or not we hired a DJ for our Hot Air Balloon Inflation Party. One of our club members recommended DJ Mac and am I ever glad she did. So there we were out on the fairway on the golf course inflating this giant hot air balloon with hundreds of people watching the event and DJ Mac was playing great Rock and Roll songs from the fifties and sixties. It turned out to be a blast. Cocktails, music, the sunset and a Hot Air Balloon Inflation. WOW! IT WAS AMAZING!

At the last minute our band for our Cinco de Mayo Party cancelled. We had just two days to find a replacement when one of our residents recommended DJ Mac. Well needless to say DJ Mac and his Rock and Roll Dance Party saved our party. DJ Mac worked Linda Ronstadt’s Canciones de mi Padre with Mariachis Vargas into his show, don’t ask me how he did it but it sure fit in with Cinco de Mayo. Our party was a great success. Since then we have had DJ Mac’s Rock and Roll Dance Party back many times. Desert Princes Resort.

When it comes to dancing and having a great time, nobody does it better than DJ Mac. I have hired him numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. He puts a real show along with line dancing and our members just love him. DJ Mac’s selection of the music hits of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are spot on and everybody dances and has a good time. I highly recommend DJ Mac.

Oh my gosh, I haven’t danced so much since I was in college. When DJ Mac starts playing those songs from the past, everyone including me gets out on the dance floor. DJ Mac is a SHOWMAN, not just a DJ. He tells stories about the artists and he really gets into it. He comes down from the stage and works the crowd and people just light up when he comes to their table. DJ Mac’s PA, Sound system plays the music at just the right volume. NOT TO LOUD, like many other DJ’s we have hired. A good time was had by all.

Our Elks Lodge put on a fundraising Dinner Dance and we hired DJ Mac. Not only did he supply the evening’s entertainment he also agreed to reduce his normal fee so we could raise more money for our scholarships. We sold 300 + tickets at $25 each and the event was a huge success. We would hire DJ Mac again in a heartbeat. Rock and Roll and Line Dancing, what fun!

Every Sunday at Old Town La Quinta during the season, we have an outdoor concert for three hours in the afternoon. I have used Rich MacLeod AKA DJ Mac’s Rock and Roll Dance Party several times and he puts on quite a show. Everybody has a good time and the music is great.

At Mike Thompson’s RV Super store in Cathedral City we have special super sales where we serve hamburgers and hot dogs and have live entertainment, usually, a band. However a few years ago we brought in DJ Mac and have used him ever since. I don’t know what it is about his music, but people stick around much longer listening to his music and he puts them in a good mood. Often times, a BUYING MOOD. I give his Rock and Roll Music Program

I had a cancellation in our entertainment schedule with little time to find someone to fill in. Wouldn’t you know, Rich MacLeod walked into my office offering his DJ services the same day. His schedule was open on the night of the cancellation so I hired him on the spot. I can’t tell you how popular Rock and Roll and Line Dancing are here at Sun City. People are still talking about his Rock and Roll Dance Party and so am I. I have referred him many times.
